does there a sampler exist where you can load a bunch of samples and then click a button and it will automatically split the sounds according to a generated velocity map?

e.g. for three samples:
sample1(vel 1-42),sample2(vel 43-86 ),sample3(vel 87-127)

...and so on?
It's damn annyoing and almost impossible to do all this by hand

Mach V does bulk loading, tho it requires an indication in the sample name. It does, however, work well 90% of the time.

Check out version 2, when it finally arrives, as ver 1 has minor, tho annoying, bugs in it (at least on Wintel platform)

That's a pretty good idea... I could implement this (or something like this) in ManyTone Mapper.
