Heads up people

Don't miss this, it's worth a try.
Metalheads try it as a pedal before Simulanalog.

There's a dll download beside the exe download.

it surely looks like a SM plugin...so i guess a VST it's on his way also...

This plugin has only a hard and hot sound purpose, that's
why i like it

I just tried this one, yes, this one is on a good way.
It is eating a little bit too much of the attack of the guitar.
(I am not talking about the noise gate)
With a little tweaking it is already a quite useful distortion.
CPU is also too high at the moment. (28%on my p4 2ghz)
I will keep an eye on this one.

Hmmm, only about 20% on my P4 2ghz.

edit: after reloading it, now it is using "only" 18% CPU.

I like it a lot. Compares well when I tested it side-by-side with some other amp sims. Crazy with power.

Post

Down to around 13% CPU now.
It looks like some parameters affect the amount of CPU which it is using.

I strongly suggest that you play around with the parameters and keep an eye on your CPU meter.

Really, there is no need to place this VST in front of any other distortion or amp-simulator.

I don't think it is actually. Interesting thing, though.

I'm going to give it a try. Problem is, when I use a guitar effect vst in fruity loops, I can't get the sound all shifted to the effect. In other words, I still hear some of the clean imput in there. Oh well, maybe I'll figure it out. I hope this thing has enough distortion. So far, every distortion vst I've tried is weak. I want to shred.

Why? I thought your own plugin does it all? :?

Try the Free Amp SE v1.5 http://www.frettedsynth.com/ as well. Click through a smattering of the presets before judging too quickly, as much of it's power is hidden behind what I feel to be an extremely comprehensive and powerful but slightly quirky interface. Nice clean sounds, shred, whatever.
