KOntakt, Halion etc. comes with libraries, covering all kinds of sounds, ethnic, orchestral, drums etc.
I wan't to buy Halion because it's easier to use, compared to kontakt. THe prob. is that Halion "only" has a 3 gig library and kontakt have 15 gig. I wanna extend tha halion library withouth the need to buy libraries from each category. Guess it will be kinda expensive. Are there any big libraries out there that covers all categories, or is it even possible to just buy the kontakt library a part from the kontakt player?

Hard one to answer. No you can't buy the kontakt library separately and it wouldn't work in Halion anyway but other all in one libraries will be protected as well. Colossus -> kontakt, Sonic Implant's Muse -> Giga VST. I doubt with Halion you'll get a single library purchase that will cover everything (well until SR Omnisounds 2 is released and there's not much info about that yet).
You have to decide between which sampler is easier to use and which has the better bundled sounds and more importantly compatibility with the better libraries availble at the moment. I went from Halion to Kontakt and found the transition fairly painless. Halion works well but Kontakt has opened up many more sound creation possibilities.
