I am wondering : does any Midi learn plugin already exist ?

A Vst plugin that would make every plugin be "midi-learnable"... You would put that plugin first before the plugin you want to make "learnable" in a chain, turn a knob both on your plugin gui & midi controller, and the midi learn would be done... !

I know it can be done using EnergyXT, but you need to open your plugin inside Ext, so you can't see or access your vst as easily as if the pulgin is in a nor(mal chain...

DOes it already exist ?
Would it be useful for many people ?
Is it hard to do ?

that's something the host has to do. eXT can do it because it IS a host, and thus gets/gives all instructions from/to the plugin. a plugin only speaks with the host, and so cannot intercept calls for other plugins (except of course processing stuff before it goes to their inputs)

EXT can run as a VST also of course!

Yes, I know that you can use Ext as a VST.
But in your host's mixer or in your chain, you see "Ext", ad not the name & dierct access of the "midi learned via Ext" plugin.
That is what annoys me.
It is not transparent.
in live situation, it is a loss of time to access the plugin's GUI, i you have first to open Ext vst...

yup, but the only solution is by having that part hosting the VST have the power, as only the host can set the values of parameters. thus, you'd have to have a plugin that wraps the target plugin, and sits between the host and the plug to do your bidding.

someone could build a different one just for this task, but it would have the same problem as eXT for you. there is no alternative.

Nothing that can be inserted before the instrument - all light hosts but Chainer is probably the closest to a midi learn plugin - its really very simple to setup midi learn with. Bidule, that also runs as a plugin has even better midi learn but its more host like, chainer is simpler - see my Midi learn guide:
