I'd use a different reverb for each trak, but as long as they eat too much CPU i try to do everything with delays and probably use only a long and a short one.
What are your methods?
Thanks

I usually have two buses, one has kick and bass the other has everything else, and I tend to put a very light reverb on the everything else. Sometimes on individual tracks like Strings or Claps. Thats about it..

Add reverb to stuff that I think needs reverb. Sometimes more than one per track.eddu wrote:

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Doesn't anyone use sends? I've mixed albums using only ONE reverb on a bus... feeding it through sends from individual tracks.

Yes me too. But with few of them. Few acoustic spaces for few insturments and thats all. Other way if more reverb is used you will sooner or later get muddy mix and i think that it is not good to have every insturments in its own acoustic space. It is not wrong but it is hard to mix that way. At least to me.Fredrikgroth wrote:Doesn't anyone use sends? In a given track? Between none and lots.eddu wrote:So how many different revs are you using? Between...2 and 5 or something?

Track as in 'there are ten tracks on this album' not as in 'a MIDI or audio track in a project'.eddu wrote:i meant in a given mix

Well, does he mean how many different reverbs do you use on any one completed track/tune?
And do you use different ones from one completed track/tune to the next, that is do you use different reverbs for each tune on the album?
It seems to me one is stuck whith either one reverb or another on anyone mix. Find one you like and stick to it? Which, personaly I don't like.
