Wonder what the differences are going to be latency wise etc. with these?

for some reason they have not spoken of the improvements of this card.But i hope its more compatible with various studio set ups and has more horsepower then older cards aswell.and i'm hoping the express pack is a cheap upgrade for existing uad owners!diverdee wrote:Wonder what the differences are going to be latency wise etc. with these?

Yes I just watched the demo video and the details are very vague. They speak of 'increased bandwidth' 'increased performance' but they don't translate that into anything real-world.
My guess here is that the 1e will be mostly identical in performance to the uad-1 - or they would be hyping the power increase much more. I think this product is more for compatibility reasons... With today's motherboards only with a few pci slots, and tomorrows might not have any, they needed to transition to pci-e.
