I have been recommended machfive but from reading a few posts on here kontakt appears to be better suited to what i want. I looked at kontakt in the past but was put off by it's interface and workflow, not to mention the price :o.

Has this been improved?

How is the workflow now?

Is it relatively easy to program?

I'll be recording my own sounds, hardware synths and using sample libraries.

I want to be able to take sounds and combine them to create new ones. I've just seen there's a 15gig library :-o . That would keep me going for a while.

Thought i'd post on here because it is quite a big investment of time and money so any advice would be really useful.

I'm leaning towards kontakt but are there any alternatives worth considering?

Thanks kvr :D

Keep up the good work.
