I have SONAR 4 producer edition for a while and i'm not fully satisfied.
I was wondering if anything out there was better then SONAR....
and why I should think of getting it.......

cubase would be similar yet different
but a bit more info regarding issues would be very helpful

I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

Welcome to kvr Rb Floyd.
I don't use Sonar 4 so I don't know what it's similar to.
What do you need your host to do, specifically?

My main problem (and I mentionned it here) is the damn EXPORTING AUDIO...the song just sounds weaker... and YES I CHECKED EVERY EXPORTING AUTOMATION FX and it sounds different then the workspace version........so I lose quality everytime I export....plus the freezing also modifies the sounds.....
exemple: when I put an WAVES Q10 paragraphic EQ on a track to take away the bass frequencies on a guitar track, it sounds awesome.....I freeze the track and the track now has crackling noise in it, I unfreeze it and it's gone........
maybe it's not SONAR4 ......but still....I thought it might be.
btw, is SONAR 5 worth the upgrade ?
what's been improved ?

while i'm at it....
I have a HUGE problem LOOPING a section if I'm working with REASON in REWIRE.
SONAR crashes and I have to restart my pc manually cause it's stuck.
that's annoying cause I have to stop the song , rewind it, play it again just to work on a 4 bar section
(i'm noticing issues with my ability to talk music....i'm new at this, so bare with me)

That's good specific info.
Unfortunately, I still know nothing about Sonar but this seems like a place where,
traditionally, a troll would step in for a few pages before someone actually gives
up the info.

You must have the settings wrong somewhere.Rb Floyd wrote:My main problem (and I mentionned it here) is the damn EXPORTING AUDIO...the song just sounds weaker... and YES I CHECKED EVERY EXPORTING AUTOMATION FX and it sounds different then the workspace version........so I lose quality everytime I export....plus the freezing also modifies the sounds.....
