I am in need of an adsr envelope or synth with realtime audio input with an amp adsr envelope to do auto volume swell efx with my guitar. Does such a plug-in exsist? Please help me as I am in desparate need of this.TIA

this is so easy to knock out in synthedit you ought to be ashamed of asking 
seriously.. synthedit is free, takes a very short time to understand the basics (visit my webpage, click on 'intro' and stare at the pictures for 2 minutes)
this would take.. 1 button, 1 envelope module and sliders for the envelope times, 2 'level adjust' modules to modulate the audio by the envelope output, a 'fixed value' to maintain the constant audio level, and a few cables to connect input and output.
but personally, i'd recommend automating the volume on your sound generator.. vsti, sampler, whatever, even mixer -
every extra process between the source and the output is going to add another level of computation, impacting cpu and fidelity, eg. dithering.. it's probably not all that important, but when it's so easy to automate, why bother?
or are you playing live?

the .zip contains the source *and* the compiled vst
oh - the compile has foot pedal (cc#4) assigned to the trigger, you can probably adjust that in your host.

Sorry to say so, but I have no idea how it works...
I cannot hear the swell effect either
This is what I make of it:
The VST has input, that is the IO module on the upper left.
The output is on the upper right.
So far I understand.
Then the ADSR module, I understand the principle behind it, but not the way it is connected...
I'll take a long look into the SE1 file / SynthEdit again.

Yeah, I figured that out... So I replaced the switch to a 'on-off' type, for permanent triggering, and not much happens
So far only the sustain knob has influence on the sound.

i really can't help you then. that schematic has been proven in use by thousands of synthedit users for about five years.
if you can't hear a 200% difference in your dynamics, perhaps you are listening to your material too loud
you might not have noticed that the default setting does not put 'amt' at the highest value, and has very slow envelope times.
perhaps if you reduce the 'attack' setting, increase the 'amt' setting, you will hear a difference.
and note that i forgot to/you will want to include a 'patch select' module (easily insertable.. modules>midi>patch select) which is necessary for the plugin to remember the settings when you reopen the song file.
