Woah, is there ANY vst available that can fade devices between presets? Or is fading between presets way too complex for any vst?

i use the audiomulch metasurface to fade (amongst other things) between devices (vst and contraptions) all the time. you can set defined points and then any movement between these points will "morph" between your defined parameters.

it looks to do pretty much the same as oli's max thing. try the demo, i couldn't live without mulch
steve.

If it can replace Cubase, I'd probably look into it, but $89 just for fading between presets isn't justified especially because I won't be able to integrate that with my current host.

it's one of the best modular audio editors around, the ability to automate and manipulate audio, contraptions and vst is astounding. the metasurface is deeper than anything i've ever seen and this is a mere part of the package.Architeuthis wrote:If it can replace Cubase, I'd probably look into it, but $89 just for fading between presets isn't justified especially because I won't be able to integrate that with my current host.
i use stream boy to integrate into sonar, works perfectly. course if your looking for a free way of doing this i think you'll struggle. in order to run oli's system you need to be running max, which is far more pricey than audiomulch.
try the demo, or don't... just a suggestion.

Sounds interesting - I've never looked into Audiomulch, even though I see the name bandied about quite a lot.blaster78 wrote:i use the audiomulch metasurface to fade (amongst other things) between devices (vst and contraptions) all the time. you can set defined points and then any movement between these points will "morph" between your defined parameters.

Can it be automated or is it strictly realtime?

its also has ace granular stuff, a million cool looping/performance tools, tons of effects, synths, samplers.
try it

Interesting... I'm willing to pay, definitely for something that fades between presets, but only if it can be integrated in cubase.

Strong recommendation, so I've grabbed the demo.
I've got a lot of r/l activity coming up though and as it's a time limited demo, I'll wait until after pao goes home before installing. That way I won't waste any of the demo time.
Thanks Steve. It looks impressive.

elevayta's stream boy lets you route the mulch output into cubase no bother.Architeuthis wrote:Interesting... I'm willing to pay, definitely for something that fades between presets, but only if it can be integrated in cubase.

I love Audiomulch. It cannot be integrated yet, but maybe it's something Ross is considering with a future version, ie: a vst version to go along with the standalone.
Not that I have heard anything like this, but it seems a pretty logical step forward for the program.

i think it might be fixed time mick... ie. until a date rather than a number of days. it certainly used to be when it was in beta.Glassback wrote:Strong recommendation, so I've grabbed the demo.

Interesting, but it seems void of any midi sequencing. The description nor the pics show any sign of a piano roll.blaster78 wrote:elevayta's stream boy lets you route the mulch output into cubase no bother.Architeuthis wrote:Interesting... AudioMulch is distributed as a 90 day evaluation version. A single user license can be purchased for US$89. See the purchase page for further details.

cool, it always used to be 90 days though, however it was 90 days from a fixed date.... maybe it has changed, but ross just used to put out a new demo version every 90 days and it expired at the end of that. the same way the bidule beta works, the build only lasts till that date. then expires.Glassback wrote:AudioMulch is distributed as a 90 day evaluation version.
