Hey guys, is there any plugin that can simulate the use of a tremolo in a guitar? For example, a slight detune in the strings, controlled by an expression pedal or something?

thanks... :)

The pitch wheel on the MIDI CCs, or fine tuning as it is called on many synths.

But with analog signal, not midi.

Analog signal?

Try Rephase. It is meant for vocals, but works great on guitars too. Melodyne or Cakewalk's V-Vocal can do similar things.

There is a mda pitch plug also which I could never get to sound any good.

An LFO modulating level can give an illusion of tremolo... The Luxonix multieffect thing has some good tools for that kind of thing, but real pitch vibrato?

Left index finger on string, open hand, wiggle like BBKing.

Do you want to (a) manually control the modulation using an expression pedal, or (b) just have pitch modulation at a fixed rate?

If (b), simulanalog suite has a great Univibe sim, an old-school vibrato/tremolo effect.

the Nomad free bundle has a good trem...more akin to a trad. guitar tremolo. also includes a phaser and sweeper

tremelo as in Amplitude modulation? Or as in Vibrato, speed modulation. I have a very simple vibrato plugin called vibrator. It has rate, depth knobs on/off and wheel buttons. Its freeware I forget who made it. it works fine, sounds natural. It just slows down incoming audio and speeds it up again I think back and fourth. Just sample-rate playback modulation so it sounds very natutal and not grainy.
