Whats the best Formant Shifter out there.. Is there such a thing as a plugin that does formant shifting alone??

Jackle&Hyde's was the best (called omnivox I think) but it is no longer available. Elevayta's formant shift is pretty good (I think it's called ChoirBoy). Xoxos' smoky joe does formant shifting, good for dirty effects, but not exactly pristine in its quality. Clone Ensemble does formant shifting I think, but again I find it is better for special effects or choral harmonizing rather than just voice changing.

Not sure what other plugins have formant shifting, there are some offline options out there though.

someone just suggested to me that the 'harm shift' function in dtblkfx might be a formant shift, unfortunately i'm using someone else's computer and don't want to search for an acapella on dialup to confirm this..

it's a nice effect anyway, so perhaps you want to explore this yourself!
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.

Melodyne?

Steinberg used to do a Voice Machine thingy

Waves do one too.

Orbitone Vorb for Creamware is supposed to be pretty good:

As far as I remember, Melodyne uses resynthesis for pitch correction and does not offer formant shifting, but I could be wrong on that.
I have Steinberg Voice designer, which has a quite rough sound.
I rather use it as an effect than for serious formant or pitch shifting.
Waves has an excelent pitch shifter called "Sound Shifter".
It has a clear, realistic and transparent sound and is definitely one of the best pitch shifters out there (if not THE best). BUT it does not have formant shifting. If you want formant shifting by Waves, "Ultra Pitch" would be your way to go.
Some Prosoniq stuff ain't so bad, either.

Shamann has already mentioned mine, but before I developed it I used RBC Voice Tweaker (which also does transposing & pitch correction).
