Hey Nebula Owners
We just sent out a newsletter using the shareit system, and also used the system to upload the update file for M42. It appears that the the link that was provided from Shareit does not work, as when you try to download it, you get 0 to 161 bits, and not the 2 MB file it should be.
I have written Shareit on this , and hopefully soon will get a resolution.
This does not apply to those who got the update via my earthlink account, as that list is used for users who had issues with the Shareit Reach system, or NFR people.
Hopefully we will get these download issues behind us, as it is preventing us from really announcing M42 ver 2. Please bear with us.

The good news is, this time I actually received the newsletter via Shareit
As for the dead link, what it's actually returning is the following error message in html format;
<br />
<b>Fatal error</b>: Call to a member function on a non-object in <b>/dc5prod/ed01/www/content/online/htdocs/shareit/rdl.html</b> on line <b>62</b><br />
Hopefully they sort it out soon
Thanks,
G.

I wonder if it's due to the file being an EXE and not a ZIP?? Have not heard from Shareit yet, but have to give them some time, and glad you actually recieved the newsletter!

I tried to download the update and it took a nanosecond - cannot be good I thought - sure enough, it;s not even really a file. So I am also getting this download problem.

Same issues with the download link here !
Shareit carries a lot of 'past baggage' ... They haven't seemed to be able to reduce the number of user issues ( purchasing as well as services ) over the last few years ... kinda scarry ..
good luck ... there are alternatives ..

...and here I was thinking it was only happening to me.
I was hoping there was something in the Algo forum about this. And indeed there is.

well..like I said, we did get an initial response from shareit, but they can't figure it out either, so they are getting thier Tech support to help. So I am waiting on them, but might mail them soon on status.kinkajou wrote:...any news?

well..right now..we are getting a new domain, so our plan is to simply link to the files right from there, and not use shareit, then send out the newsletter again with the "good link" and all will be well in AlgoMusic Land once again! We have had it with these download issues, so we are moving!!We will announce our new domain when we are ready.

Hi All
In the next few days, you should be getting the shareit notice with a GOOD link for the m42 update, and thank you for your patience. As we said on another thread, we have moved and we are now http://www.algomusic.net
YEAH!
