I have dowloaded the VB audio FFx-4 and the FFX-4 for winamp
But I need more capability for free while I am playing around with stuff any ideas?

AirRack is cool, doesn't do DX without VB FFX-4. Try Cockos' Reaper?

You can chain multiple FFX-4's --> If you're using FFX-4 w/ Winamp --> load the FFX-4 into one slot of FFX-4 for Winamp, etc.

Also, w/ Winamp you can use VST's too -->

Load the MultiFXVST into VST Host DSP and you ca load limitless (your system is the limit) number of VST effects into use.

Also, energyXTE can be used as a 'rack' w/ VST Host DSP - http://www.xt-hq.com/ (not free though)

Thanks for all the replies so far, I downloaded the MultiFXVST and played with it, I found that while using the Kjaerhus classic series there are two effect interface windows one with knobs and one that allows you to select a setting and use a slider pretty cool especially when the knobs don't work right, I looked at AirRack but could not figure out how to read the webpage with all those question marks, otherwise it looks good based on the screenshots. I also downloaded the Reaper but haven't figured out how to use it yet. Now if I could only find another player that does everything withour wrappers I will be set up. One you you asked what I was doing, well just playing around and trying things out, eventually I will set u p an internet radio station on Live 365, but I want to know what I am doing first.

Only 'plain' audio player, I know, w/ native VST support is Pinnacle/Steinberg's MYMP3PRO 5.0 (commercial) --> only 4 slots for VST effects but you can use the MultiFXVST for more.

I don't know if it's discontinued or not.

Also J.River Media Center 11.x may have VST/DX support http://www.jrmediacenter.com/.
