A question for the pros

I'm not sure where i should ask this but here it goes...

is there an easy way to scroll through (like with up and down arrows) and audition/browse instruments in:

Sampletank 2 - SonicSynth 2 or any of the EWQL stuff? or even any other large sound bank software like Halion 3 and hypersonic -

i'm thinking of getting something but i dont want to have to click with a mouse and wait for a patch to load.

What you could do is download a demo of Energy XT and run Sonik Synth 2 through it. Energy XT will create a drop-down menu. (I don't think this would work for multis.) EWQLSO has a built-in drop-down menu, btw.

should work as a program change if you have a midi controller (at least up to 128).

also take note i don't consider myself pro because that has more ego attached than i can afford. also take note i don't use any of the plugins you mentioned, but they should be able to change sounds in a bank with a program change from your midi controller.
