Sweetwater is now seelling VotA for about $250 now:

It says Giga Studio format, but it doesn't specify which edition. Would this work in Kompakt? (I'm really not concerned about being able to use the word creator program.)

Kompakt is compatible with Gigastudio files, so yeah, it should work fine.

tempting, but I'm holding out for symphonic choirs...which is really like VotA part 2.

On a good day the price is more than double the VotA price though.

But I wouldn't pay more than 150 VOTA.

Yeah, I'd really like to get Symphonic Choirs. $800 is too much for me, though. Maybe they'll have a group buy over at Sounds Online?

I hope they will put on a group buy for it myself.

Also they usually have a sale during the Christmas season.

I found it on sale somewhere for $640 or something around that number.
