like it said in the title really :shrug:

what is a safe flace setting to lose nothing from my 24bit 48htz wav files?

flac is a lossless format, any setting will be safe.

edit: unless you meant metadata or other non-audio data such as cue points, loop data etc. I don't think flac supports that stuff and will just ignore it when it packs the file. So if that's what you are worried about losing then don't use flac.

Like Dozius said - you won't lose anything and every setting is safe with FLAC, but I suggest you use the default settings [-5 compression]. I experimented with FLAC a lot and found the default settings work best for everything. It's not LAME or some other lossy codec so you don't have to worry too much about the settings :wink:.

i heard flac lost nothing but i saw the settings & thought, well best must be lossless :shrug:
