Im trying to trigger the sounds from my giga PC via the midi out from my logic MAC

MAC
G5 Dual 2.7 with 4 gig RAM. (OX 10.3.8)
Digidesign 96 I/O with HD3 accel
M-Audio Midisport 2x2
Logic 7

PC
P4 3.2 with 1 gig RAM. Asus P4P800 Delux motherboard.(windows XP Professional service pack 2)
RME TDIF-1 (8 Channel A/D converter breakout box) Hammerfall soundcard with 2x2 mmidi in/out

All latest drivers for both systems.
The midi on both the PC and Mac are working correctly.

I've created an audio instrument inside Logic on the MAC, its instrument 1, midi channel 1. Ive created notes across the whole scale as to avoid sample sets that dont trigger beyond certain ranges. Ive then hit play. A USB lead goes from the MAC to M-Audio usb so its powered properly. The keyboard midi out goes into the M-Audio midi in, and the Midi outA goes into Midi in 1 on the Hammerfall soundcard.

I can plug the keyboard directly into the hammerfall card on the PC and it triggers the gigastudio instrument loaded, without latency. I hear it back perfectly so the midi input into gigastudio is fine.

There is a message at the bottom of the Gigastudio screen flashing between a picture of a keyboard and the words External midi, but this seems to happen even when the mac midi is not being played.

The Midi input on port 1 is selected as Hammerfall Midi In1 Giga low latency.

But so far, I cant get the Logic midi to trigger Gigastudio. What should I do?
Is it possible to run logic 5.5.5 on the same PC and run Gigastudio as a rewire device? That however is not an ideal working system for me.

Hope someone can help

Cheers
Steve
