I've got Sonar5 which includes TTS-1. I'd like to know how is NI Bandstand compared to TTS-1.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Both are neither very good. Functional as a 'scratch pad' to knock out an idea or two, but don't expect a significant improvement in realism if you upgrade the TTS-1 to Bandstand...
Just my opinion though... (as an owner of Colossus, I may be a little spoiled though

I wasn't impressed with Bandstand either. Bandstand also seems to be a lot more buggy than the TTS-1. Bandstand's forums are still packed with people having trouble with the thing. I think some of the sounds are better, but not enough to make me want to spend 100 dollars and risk getting a buggy GM plug that'd just force me to use the TTS-1 anyway.
I'd stick with the TTS-1 for now and save up for something like Colossus. ForteDXi is also 50 bucks... might want to look into that.

How about thinking from another point of view? What other functionality does bandstand bring? I have Sonar and TTS-1 and strictly use it for quickly playing back GM files, even as a sketch pad I still go for Colossus first.
Are there any features which woud prove beneficial? I assume that you have Kontakt to qualify for the crossgrade, and while you could use the bandstand sounds within K2.1, I doubt they will extend what you already have with the K2 library.
I decided that TTS-1 works how I need it to and I'm covered for sounds elsewhere.
