I wrote two new VST midi plugins:

JMs Midi Switcher 1.0

This little plugin allows you to fix the incoming midi data to 1 specific midi channel. This midi channel can be selected via the midi notes 0-15 (midi channel 1-16).
Via the user interface the current midi channel can be also selected.

It has some advantages over Somas Midi Switcher:
- Does not react on Prg Changes so Prg Changes are routed through the plugin
- Routes all midi CCs through the plugin
- The midi notes to switch the channels are out of the normal midi note play range

JMs Program Range Changer 1.0

This little plugin allows you to send program changes in a given range by stepping up and down through the range via 2 configurable midi CCs.

Both plugins can be combined for flexible live improvisations. This is visualized in the following screenshot:

Assign the midi notes 0 and 1 to two buttons on your remote keyboard. Also assign two buttons two CC 126 and CC 127 for stepping through the programs. In the example setup I loaded two synths. The first is set to midi channel 1 and has some pad sounds from program nr. 12 up to nr. 24. The second synth plugin is set to midi channel 2 and has lead sounds from program nr. 34 up to nr. 49. Now you can switch between leads and pads with the push of a button and step up and down through different sounds!

Bump for something really useful =)
Thanks!

these do look handy, I'll have to give them a test run tomorrow when I get my midi keyboard back

Great moss, very very useful, thanks!

Cheers!

p.s. and thankfully not coded in SE, so the dll is not 1MB+... I hate that.

I've been struggling with presets management in some of my lastest projects, and this will come in quite useful.

thank you for your work

OOh....i'm going to have some fun with that program changer!

Thanks for these!

Edit: woops, almost forgot, i don't have a MIDI controller. Have to buy a new one. Any chance of a FR???

Have the ability to change the increase/decrease with MIDI notes.
Easier than setting up envelope tracks to sequence the CC changes

That's easy, simply put something like NicFits nF_MungRack2_3 in front.
