New audio engine? I don't know how they can get it much better.

Score editor?
Crap, I may have to start saving pennies.
Mayhap I could move to Samp and use only that?
I've really, really liked it compared to all the other multitrack recorders that I've tried.

Damn, I've made the firm (?) decision to upgrade only one of my hosts this year.

Sounds very tempting. Can't wait to try the demo version when it's released before i make any decision.

Yes, that would be a good rationalization to get me around the self-imposed "one-upgrade limit." Let's see...as a Nuendo crossgrade, it would be 20 bucks/month for 25 months...

You've got me thinkin', GreyLion. Now to see what Steinberg has up their sleeve after two years... (I want to see what Cakewalk does with Sonar, too).

Wouldn't it be the feline's hindquarters if we could know in advance which company would have the cleanest release right out of the starting gate? (or most complete bugfix the soonest?) Yeah, I know, think Aerosmith's first hit song. :D

Thx for reminding me of the SAM-for-Rent option, GreyLion.

I have SFR myself and you get 2 free new version upgrades within that 25 month deal as well.I did a crossgrade from Logic PC . I won't be changing hosts again although I won't rule out a dual boot OSX/XP setup in the future so I can resume using Logic if needed.

I have joined the movement, brother. Enough is enough. All dongled apps and C/R apps are being removed from my studio.

There are plenty of fine alternatives out there.

To those that disagree: this is a personal choice, a long time coming. If you feel differently, that is your right and your privilege, and I mean no disrespect to you. :)

But with all these fine indepedent developers, and companies like Cakewalk, Image Line, Synapse, etc. I don't need the grief any more. It is quite possible to live free *and* legal.

Dongle this. :D

P.S. Forgive the little off-topic excursion. Starting a whole new thread for my little crusade would be a bit pompous, no?
