Hello. I'm (about to be) using Cubase with windows XP as an operating system. I have two questions, I'm still new at this so forgive my stupidity if these are dumb. Firstly, are VST-plugin effects only compatible with MIDI tracks or can they be used with audio tracks as well? For example, say if I run my guitar through and INSPIRE or whatver and its patching an audio track rather than a midi, will VST stuff still work? Also, I'm looking for a VST-plugin effect that reverses the resonation of what's being sent through (which would cause a sort of lag I guess). Would answer more, but I'm on my way out....but VST plugin effects are usually used on audio, and not midi. There are midi vst plugins that come with Cubase, and Steinberg made the Midi VST sdk public last year (I think), so maybe we'll be seeing some third party ones eventually.
