Yo y'all:

I've collected some outtakes from the production of the August issue of Texas Music Forge and bundled them into a 12 Mb zip file at:

www DOT texasmusicforge DOT com/music/samples/TexasMusicForge_11.zip

Please note that I break the URL down like this to avoid having my website address harvested by the spambots.

The .zip file contains a folder called Bent Reeds 3, which has 6 or 7 harmonica samples played in the key of "B", all about 8-10 seconds long and perfect for use as segue or stinger music in your audio, video, podcast and website productions. These have reverb and some EQ on them.

There are also 4 guitar samples or loops done in a John Lee Hooker swamp boogie style and recorded with a road-tested Strat through a vintage amp for that authentic sound. The 4 different guitar clips should give you enough for an intro, a verse, a chorus and a bridge if you're a songwriter. There's definitely enough grease and glory in these guitar clips to put some pep in your step, some glide in your stride and some soul in your stroll.

As always, you're free to use these in your individual productions but please don't include them in any compilations or package them for sale in any way.

Best regards to all,

So generous, thanx...my Texas Music Forge folder is really starting to weigh. Wonderful stuff...

BTW, former Austin resident can't remember the name of the little aquatic critters that live(d) in Barton Springs...?!?

Thanks for the kind words. The little aquatic critters you refer to are either kids or salamanders...

Glad y'all enjoyed them.

I'm packing my Strat and my John Lee Hooker riffs and heading down to a 3 day weekend gig with the band at a beach bar on the Gulf of Mexico. I'm a sucker for any gig with pretty waitresses bringing me platters of shrimp and tequila. We gonna be tearin' it up if anyone is near Pier 99 in Corpus Christi this weekend. Make sure you tuck some bail money in your dancing shoes...

Glad to do it, my friend. I see where you were kind enough to post comments on some other announcements of mine making samples available. I'm on the road gigging on the other side of the country at the moment or I would have responded sooner. I usually upload a zip file of outtakes from my monthly audio magazine around the middle of each month.
