the more types the merrier, with both bread'n'butter and far out stuff..

these seem interesting, anyone got some info on quality, use and cpu consumption?

ConcreteFX - Debaser
Delaydots - SpectrumWorx
The Sound Guy - SFX Machine RT
SpinAudio - FX Designer

I read about Yellow Tools' Freedom as well, but it supposedly suffers from bad quality and the price just isn't right.. So any suggestions for jack-of-all-trades for about 100$ are welcome.. :)

don't forget luxonix

The Sound Guy SFX Machine Pro. :)

I read terrible things about Freedom....Computer Music slammed it. hehe, said it was the top candidate for most wasted good idea of 2006, or something like that. :-o

woah, fast replies! :)

I've got luxonix, it's a great little multiFX, but it lacks the more 'far out' stuff.. I'll have to give it another go, though.. :)

And shame about Freedom, it seems to be a great concept executed badly.. let's hope someone does it right..

luxonix
and guitar rig are great

Personally I would love to see an expanding slot version of luxonix with about 20 essential effects and drag and drop changing of order (perhaps a bit like having an ableton Live mixer as a VST).

In my multi-FX folder: E-Fex Modulator, Groove Analogizer, Metallurgy, Scarbee KBFX and Ronin (which might strictly not belong there).
And of course most OhmForce plugins do several things in a weird way :)...

I'm not quite into the $300-and-more range, but I'm checking out every suggestion.. Keep'em coming! ;)

One worth checking out is Sugar Bytes Artillery. It's an interesting multifx unit. Oddly there are lots of plugins that are several effects in one, but there aren't a lot that are like the preset-based digital hardware units, which were always kind of the general midi modules of the effects world. The SFXMachine is like that, but personally I've never been overwhelmed by its quality (it was updated recently, wasn't it? Maybe it is better now). I guess the massive guitar market effects like Amplitude and Guitar Rig fill that roll these days, or the many modulars (my preference)

In terms of a spectral multi effect, I'd opt for Bidule over SpectrumWorx. I just think Bidule is more flexible (being modular) and has a better quality FFT/iFFT conversion.
