I'm still using anwida's reverb lite...

anwida is highly underated imo..

but maybe im just silly.

I have the Anwida compressor, limiter and graphic eq's and think they are very good and under-rated. But as far as the reverbs go, I only have the demos because I don't like them enough to buy them. Get the demo, and get the demo of AAR and hear for yourself. It's a very personal choice, but as you educate your ears, you find that reverb quality is hard to find. The reason for this is that natural acoustic reverb consists of billions of echoes, and digital reverbs don't have a hope of modeling them well. The choice of delay parameters that are made are fairly empirical, and have a lot to do with the taste of the developer & the user.

If you haven't already done so, get a free copy of SIR and some free impulses of high end reverb. This gives you a taste of expensive reverb. It lacks the subtlties of modulation, and usually truncates the tails, but basically gives you 95% of the real thing.

I don't have CSR yet, but from what I can tell it's probably the ultimate VST reverb now. I've bought a Kurzweil Rumour, to see what all the fuss was about. It's good - better than most VST reverbs. But it still sounds a bit harsh and metallic to me - so I bought R66 for the one sound it does quite well.

I've been trialling a Behringer V-Verb, and it is very, very good. And cheap. And full featured. But, I would much prefer a plugin - so, as much I detest and despise iLock and dongles and crap, I might be tempted to buy the freakin CSR. Ah - the dilemna. Which evil is the greatest - Behringer or dongles? It's a hard call, and i'm sitting on the fence but I have to return the Behringer tommorow ... damn ...

For the price I would go and buy CSR instead...

Anwida is 200$ and CSR is 300$

Anwida Spazio has decent algos that really sound very good, but CSR can do the same and much more because it has more parameters and tweakability...

But at least: what the Spazio does, it does very convincing

Spazio seems pretty good based on playing with the demo. I don't use the real one because the damned thing won't install on my system. The demo installed and worked fine; real deal a no go. Bleh. I got it with a group buy or something that ran last summer, I think.

So, I've moved on to using other items and Spazio was my inadvertant charity donation to Anwida.

Maybe it will install on another system someday.

Maybe perhaps because they seem to only be developing DX plugins? I never use DX.

I use Spazio. It is natural and smooth, and is quite easy on the CPU. No dongle, no C/R. I also still use their DX Reverb and other products.

Actually CSR can be bought for $240 if you go to the right store. and only $189/$169 if you already own one of IK's other products. But this all hinges on if you go to the right store.

P.S. $240 for 4 reverbs makes CSR one of the cheapest right now for high quality.

I got my copy of Spazio today, and must say, its the best Reverber along the ArtAcoustic Reverber. Spazio uses very little CPU usage and has a very nice sound. And yes, no dongles or any other crap.

I know its DX only, but I use it with SONAR, so that's not a problem for me.

Coming from you, I'd say that's a ringing endorsement. I don't even know anyone from Anwida, but I love to support the "independents" when they produce very good product (present company included.
