I need a sound like that one, but without the drums. Where/how could I get it?

Preferrably free. Could also be a soundfont.

Thankis!

Garritan Jazz and Big Band would be the closest you would get to producing that kind of phat sound. We have it listed on our website and there are loads of demos you can preview before hand! Hope this helps.

Thanks, but that't too expensive. I'd just need that sound.
Is it more brass sounds played at once?

I made a few group brass samples from the University of Iowa stuff. (All concert C pitch from c2 to c5) I mixed them to stereo (and normalized), so you might want to convert them to mono if you need to loop them effectively. You can hear them at the site on my signature if you listen to the "Little Fanfare" track. I used compressed versions for that track -- I think the uncompressed ones I made probably sound better in hindsight, though.

If you're interested, I can e-mail them to you. Maybe someday I'll get around to putting them on Sample Torrents. I'll check back on this forum later.
