looking for old style pitch shifter and a time strecher

Hi!

I'm looking for effects ( Windows VST, DX, or standalone ) that can do some or all of the following things:
1) pitch shift which stretches the sound ( like plain ol' speed modification )
2) time strech which does not change the pitch.

I realize that in order to increase the pitch this way, one would have to receive data from the future.. but I want it to work only on pre-recorded sound data, so there isn't a problem getting data from the 'future' of the sound. however, this should work in real time, in the sense that I can press Play in the host, and I will hear the sound streched or pitched. letancy is not an issue.

One way to do that is by loading the wavefile in any sampler, and just play keys lower than the sample's root. If you are looking specifically for something that doesn't require MIDI note input, the ideal situation would be a host-based playback function. Many hosts let you slow down/speed up audio clips in some fashion.

An effect won't do this, but in terms of instruments, some options are:

xtal (this ones a bit buggy, but lets you adjust playback quite easily)
Liveslice (just don't use the slicing features, and it'll do what you want. It has trouble with lots of large files at once though, since it loads them all to RAM).
ioplong's relofter (several ioplong things will do the trick, actually, but relofter is the most straightforward)
Turntablist Pro

I'm also sure Tobybear has something that'll do this. He pretty well has one of everything available.

That's true, it also doesn't save the wav info with song.
The site says that he is working on a new improved version of it, i hope it will be realesed some day...
