hello all,

im sorry to be another noob, and for all these questions - but i hope you're nice people and you can help me (or direct me to google with the right keywords, i don't mind searching) :)
ive been working with smartelectronix plugins for a looooong time, but i feel like a newbie again cause ive just made the switch to mac's, and more specific a macbook (so intel based) (with ableton mainly as host app)

i can't get bouncy to work - is it because it's not compiled as a UB? if not; is there the intention to do that? i used it a lot in all my ableton projects, and i was hoping to get most of them working again on my macbook..

ive managed to install most au's from the smartelectronix website, but the buffer override is kinda strange, i can't map it in ableton anymore to work with that xy position system.. (i read about some problems - is there any workaround or something?)

also, are there UB vst versions of the smartelectronix plugins? cause the other ones won't work so it seems..

thanks a lot for your time and possible replies.. im going to read some more websites and this message board.. i need to be educated some more on this mac stuff :)

ps: a huge thanks to the smartelectronix dev's, im using/appreciating your work a lot!!

Right, it's not available as a UB at this time. Perhaps I will do that for Bram sometime soon...

It works for me in Live 5 on my MacBook, at least what I think you're talking about. Could you explain more specifically what exactly you're trying to do and what exactly the unexpected behavior is?

hi marc,

thanks for your kind reply. if you ever find the time to make it a UB i would be very very happy.. as i use(d) it a lot..

i've investigated the buffer override a bit more: (apparently i did something wrong, so the main problem is solved, but i found a new small issue:)

where i used to have a little 'ball' to control the buffer, i now have 2. i really liked moving it in that interface, but it's no longer possible; so i tried to map it in ableton to get xy control anyway.. (i hope you understand what i mean by this, its that basic ableton xy window thingy) - i get the 2 parameters to move (buffer divisor & forced buffer(free)) - but it stutters with forced buffer.. meaning: instead of going smoothly from point a to point b, it gets there in random stutters.. this problem does not apply for the buffer divisor.

it's not that you can't work with anymore, just a small issue.. i hope you understand the problem based on my crappy explanation :)

my system: i have the cheapest macbook with a little extra ram + ableton 5.2 ofcourse

Well I took a peak back at the sources and saw that that would be simple enough, so I've ported it. I'll send it to Bram who will hopefully post it on his site soon...

I tried in Live on my MacBook and am not experiencing this. Are you sure you don't have the "buffer interrupt" parameter set to off?
