no longer registered -- what gives?

i don't get it -- i purchased toxic and i download the latest version of sytrus and install them both (in their own directories within my vsti folder). both products run as demos. toxic won't run any other way and sytrus, which was functioning under and earlier version (and was used in a released recording) now functions only as a demo.

this is extremely frustrating, to say the least. anyone have a clue what i did wrong?

When you got the e mail for Toxic you should have got instructions to register and generate a new reg code. Go to the FL site, log in, then download and run the reg code. That should solve your problem.

Also, in addition to FatFreddy's suggestion, check that ImageLine haven't accidently given you a new username for this purchase. When I bought something a while back they gave me a different username with none of the previously ordered stuff included, but they fixed it really quickly when I contacted them.

But yes, when in doubt, log onto the FLStudio website, grab a new regkey and run it. It should activate all your Imageline products in one go.

okay - this is what i did:

i pulled the product from my daw and ran my registry cleaner (rosesoft's registry first aid) to clean out the leftover entries. then i re-downloaded both products from their respective sites. then i re-installed both the products and the registration keyfile.

now it works.

in a vain attempt at self-justification, this is basically what i did in the first place. i'm not sure what happened differently -- perhaps something glitched in the registry or i accidenty installed an older keyfile -- or the heat has affected my brainpan -- in any case, it works now.

btw.... i had quite an enjoyable evening exploring the sounds....
