How do you make your samples? From scratch?
Slicing / Synthsizer / Sound Editor/ Drum Matrix
Which software do you use?

Personally, I tend to do first-order editing in Adobe Audition to get it down to a clean WAV clip with consistent level, basic EQ, and any noise reduction. Then I import into Kontakt (usually) for looping (if any) and playback. There are probably faster ways of working, but this gives me good control and good results, and I don't really generate new samples all that often.
