you will really have to explain why you would want it to not send midi in the piano roll - it is for sending midi after all

Change track's output to a different (unused) midi channel.

In SX there is a button that looks like a little speaker.Second one from the left. It's called acoustic feedback. With this on it "plays" the notes if you move them and don't if it's off.

Is this what you're looking for ?

naaa, didn't work. I'm talking about when you are clicking notes into the piano roll, changing velocities, or clicking on a note.

Now i understand what you want to do.

Jupiters solution will work.

but it will still send midi if you click
"play" on the transport bar.

there's an option in the prefences under midi called "feedback". I set that to 5ms and when changing velocities it still has a LONG release, so freaking anoying. now, turning on or off the speaker does nothing. it might be a problem of preferences though.

Its not in preferences it is in the piano roll window on the top right corner (iirc).

OH THAT BUTTON!

I wish I could just turn the sound off for editing velocity, and clicking on a note.

How do you STOP cubase from sending midi in piano roll?
