This has probably been asked before, but here goes:
-Am I missing out on any features by using the SampleTank2.1 interface for the SonikSynth2 library?
-Am I correct that SonikSynth2 hasn't been updated at all since its release? Not that I have any reason to be unhappy about it. Is an update coming (I seem to recall reading that here), and would it change the answer to my first question?
-SampleTank2.1 shows up as 2.x in my host - for some reason I find that pretty annoying. Will there be further updates to it, or can we expect a ST3 some time?
-Has anyone else experienced that Amplitube 1 doesn't work at 96KHz? Using Live 5 on Mac.
Couple of Qs about ST, SS and Amplitube 1

1) I don't believe you are missing out on any features. The current ST 2.1 has a much faster engine than the SS2 interface, so if you're using ST 2.1, there are some definite advantages.
2)AFAIK, SS2 has never been updated. Early on there was talk about a patch/combi exchange, but this never materialized either. Squids has indicated that an update is coming and it is expected to be very soon after Studiophonik is released (hopefully sometime in the fall).
3) There has been much ink spilled about the fact that the MIRO library can't be imported into the current incarnation of ST. This is due to IK switching all its new releases to a dongle protected format. The speculation has been that compatability problems will be resolved with the next major ST release which is also expected to be dongled.
4) Don't know about your issue with AT1. But I will say that even though I have AT2, I still use AT1 for accoustic FX and I think it kicks ass.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Technically, no. However... Sonik Synth 2 is a self-contained package, and it can be useful if you're working with another person who has SS2 in their studio (so you both have a fixed sound set). It also has that nice silver and blue look.krank wrote:-Am I missing out on any features by using the SampleTank2.1 interface for the SonikSynth2 library?
There's an update planned to bring it up to ST2.1 (at least). No date has been announced yet though.krank wrote:-Am I correct that SonikSynth2 hasn't been updated at all since its release? There are further updates planned. It's all top-secret though.krank wrote:-SampleTank2.1 shows up as 2.x in my host - for some reason I find that pretty annoying. Will there be further updates to it, or can we expect a ST3 some time?
Not that I know of (and both AT1 and myself have been around a while). I suggest you contact IK support directly using the link in your IK user area.krank wrote:-Has anyone else experienced that Amplitube 1 doesn't work at 96KHz? Using Live 5 on Mac.
