If Glitch VST v1.3 has ever crashed on you...

This is for anyone who has experienced a crash or error while using Glitch v1.3...
I've gotten a handful of emails from different people (mostly using Ableton Live 5, but also Nuendo 3) who mention that Glitch has crashed on them or caused errors such as "access violation", but trying to track down the source of the bug is really beginning to drive me crazy.
To try and help locate the source of the bug I've compiled a new version of the plugin that contains madExcept - an exception/error handler which can generate a crash report and easily send it to me (if you choose to). MadExcept does not require any additional CPU power to run, it simply kicks in whenever a crash occurs.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could download the latest version of the plugin once more and take a moment to submit any future crash reports to me.
Cheers everyone,
K.

This is exactly what has been driving me crazy. There are different people using the same version of the same software and some of them do have problems while others don't. Argh!S.HUSH wrote:Hmmm. I use glitch with Live 5.2 and haven't had any crashes/problems.

it crashes Cubasis every time I use it. I am able to save the changes to Glitch before it dies so it's not all lost but it's still a PITA...
actually I've been meaning to ask if there's anyway to get hold of version 1.0 again as that always worked fine (but didn't have the Tape Stop effect which is a shame)...

i still use the old version as i prefer how it looks and works but i know 1.3 crashed on me when i tried it so i'll give this version a run for you later for the benefit of the crash report.

Never crashes on me, and I'm glad to see you're continuing development of Glitch, be it V1 or V2.
BTW I'm working on a new little glitch/FSU tool, so stay on your toes, sucka. :p But it's only 1/2 programmed at the moment...

This is more a case of tracking down the last few curiosities in the plugin and trying (probably in vain) to say "ok, this is the final version!". I've been taking it easy during the summer but that's gradually coming to an end so I'm gonna start proper development on v2 pretty soon. I'll probably still prototype it in Delphi first and figure out a C++ conversion later, since my C++ skills aren't really up to scratch right now.JackDark wrote:Never crashes on me, and I'm glad to see you're continuing development of Glitch, be it V1 or V2.
Interesting mp3 by the way.

Shameless bump.
Just want to make sure this info gets seen by anyone it might apply to. Cheers.

----V1.3 fixed the probs I was having in FL Studio 5, and it's never crashed since then
Cool plug to add some weirdness to an otherwise static loop. I tend to mix it down quite a bit, and use it more for a little funky texture, and less for all out fsu stuff. But either way, it's handy to have around, especially if something sounds good but is a little boring. Thanks again for releasing this for free, and looking forward to seeing where you take it with V2
