Hi,
I'm searching for a simple sample player that plays all
samples of a given folder and its subfolders randomly.
16bit 44.1 KHZ stereo .wav support would be nice.
I'd use it for recording sessions with different effect chains
to get some new sounds out of my library.
Anything out there I could try?
TIA

Yep, I came across Randomax during my search,
but to me it looked like the current version
can use just the built in kits for randomisation?
Wow, quick replies here at KVR again.
I'm going to attend my cousins wedding now,
so I can read the forthcoming answers not until this evening.

NUSofting DK+ could help you: http://nusofting.liqihsynth.com/
It can load 10 samples on each one of its 24 pads and play them randomly. You can even set a propability factor for each sample.

what i do is load a bunch of samples in battery's cells, then create velocity stacks (assign a sample to a certain range of velocity values), and just randomize the velocity on the notes.

DK+ looks like a nice player, but I really do not need
the additional features I'd pay for.
That would be 38 bucks for random sample playing. Hm.
On the other hand, I have battery. I'm asking myself,
if I could automate the way disturb suggests.

I remember a post about someone developing a prog that takes random samples from whatever is on your harddrive(s) and cutting it up

The built in sampler in Usine does this easily.
