Blue Cat's Music Software has released a freeware utility to enable DXi effects in applications that do not support DXi instruments but support DX plug-ins: you can disable/enable the MIDI capabilities of any DXi intrument so that it's compatible with all DirectX hosts on the market.

Thanks to this tool our MIDI-enabled DX effects can be used in older applications that did not support MIDI DX plug-ins. It also works for any other DXi.

Neat - I hate ReValver appearing in my synths list in SONAR (even though I know *why* it does), so I'll be pleased to lose it into its correct place!

That's one reason for using this tool. But do no forget that you will loose the MIDI capabilities of Revalver.

I've never felt a burning desire to control ReValver with MIDI :-)

You do not "load" anything into the tool, it just modifies the plug-ins configuration. It works with any DXi plug-in that can work without MIDI.
