Has anyone done a thorough comparison between Voxengo Voxformer and Kjaerhus GAC-1? I *know* these aren't in the same ballpark of price. Now without considering price at all, I wonder if anyone, and hopefully someone with an ear, has compared these two?

Really? Nobody?

I bet everybody is thinking slong the same lines as myself.
1. Try the DEMOS!!
2. I may be mistaken but I believe there was a similar discussion(at least once) not to long ago. Try search..

Well, I'm not thinking that. I mean by all means try the demos, but there are some very learned people here whose opinions I love to hear before dropping cash; especially as they probably think of ways to use these plugs that I never would.

Fair enough but I would never buy something that I didnt fully understand or like, I would always go with what sounded best to me, I guess I never understand these polls. I suppose then by your statement, the thread should be " I have no idea how to try and set up a vocal channle plug(despite reading the manual) and would like people to try and tell me how to use this in thread-form, which would surely be clear and concise.."bduffy wrote:Well, I'm not thinking that. I see your point obviously, but he posted that 2 days ago and no one responded, time to move to step 2.. I mean step 1. TRY the Demo...!!

I have. Both are "just fine". I didn't claim to be a person with *an ear.* So I'm hoping for some other opinions.Killvehicle wrote:I bet everybody is thinking slong the same lines as myself.

Why does anybody assume I havent' tried the demos? I used GAC-1 every day until the demo expired on me, and I liked it a lot. I tried Voxformer until I got frustrated with the demo crippleness, and I liked it a lot too. Both seem just alright to me...

If you like both, and neither has functionality that makes it superior for your use, buy the cheapest one. Needless to say: both companies are top notch developers, offer great support, and both licenses are resellable.
I've had both, kept one, and don't use it much because I don't really do much stuff that requires an audio channel VST.

Come on, it's a legit query. Somebody answer the guy eh?
Or is KvR now merely a forum for asking dumbass questions like "should I make a sandwich?"
James: I can't help you, but for sure someone on here can. Hope you get the answers you need.
