I've just won it in a small competition. I don't feel a great need for an algorithmic reverb right now, it looks kind of deep and with time being an increasing issue for me I'm wondering if I should get into it or let it go. Any experiences?

Post

Sure it's deep but...it has some great presets for starters. I use it occasionally but dont really use the advanced features

Have a go with it, you might like it

Try it on percusssion, sounds great with just a tad added to the track for air.

i personally love it, and it works perfectly on all audio tracks

I love it. Best algorithmic reverb out there, IMO. A lot of the presets are too "crisp" for certain applications, but don't let that trick you into thinking the whole plug-in is that way. You can get a whole range of different-sounding verbs outta that puppy.

If it's a choice between Roomverb and most of the freeware offerings for algorithmic reverb (and I've tried'em all) then I'd say devote your time to Roomverb. There's not much that my reduced set of verbs (Convo Boy for Convolution, and Ambience and Roomverb for algorithmic) can't handle.

I don't have Roomverb M2 But i have Romverb M1 wich came with the spin audio essential plugin bundle (Wich basicly is just a striped down version without all the bells and whistles) , And i just love the sound of it.
It has a very big range from very crisp to warm and airy if you spend some time with it ;)

So i say keep it coz you won't regret it once you get used to it :D

Well, thanks for the replies everyone.

Any favorites among the presets, or favorite applications for it in general? I really dread having to add to the time I spend with intense listening, tweaking minute details.

If I do choose to sell it, what would be a fair asking price? I've also got their 3d bundle, which I can't use (no Mac version).

Congrats. I guess it's too late for me to enter that contest now :). Where can we hear your entry?

good luck getting the devloper to answer your emails once you sell it even if he tells you, you are allowed to sell it first. Piss poor cusomter service from my experience.

At sampleremix.com. I think they still have my original version up, which was done in a serious haste as the set had to be reconstructed the night before.

SpinEQ is pretty good, Lee. Isn't it on every month's CM coverdisc, or was it a one-time thing? I don't actually use it right now, though. I haven't re-installed anything that required online validation since my last clean system install. Not on principle or anything, just because I'm lazy.

As for Roomverb presets, there are a lot of good ones. I can't recall all the names (again, it's not re-installed yet) but there were some vocal and guitar presets that were great, and some of the FX presets were useful. I know that doesn't answer your question precisely, but just try some out!
