Hi,

What would you suggest for an affordable drum sampler with a decent library? I edit all my drums within Cubase SX so I don't need any sequencer functions. I worked with BFD and Battery in the past but I'm not sure I wanna shell out over 300$ for this and the BFD is too natural for my needs. It is mostly to work my idea at home, then I use the V-drum at the studio, witch is ok for my needs as I'm into some electro rock stuff...

Waht would be your suggestions? Any freewares worth trying? Or something really affordable, like under 100$

I know there is FXpansion DR008 ( I think around $99), but man I just (FINALLY) got Battery and I can't imagine a better drum sampler, Ridiculously low CPU and just real smooth and easy.. And I think it is around $200.

Propellerheads Reason or Cakewalks Project 5, both are powerfull and HIGHLY flexible. I have to edit post cause these are'nt under $100, under $100 would be dr-008.

Drumular - It's got tons of great-sounding modules, uses hardly any CPU, and is cheaper/more stable than DR-008.

Just use Odo's stuff. Dr. Fusion, Rhythms, et. all... they are fabulous, and they are free. Odo totally skewed that market forever...

Thanks! I have a bunch of those to check and compare now! This Odo stuff seem really interesting! If it have decent sounds it will do the trick, it's just to work quick ideas at home, I use the V-drum when I'm at the studio and I will go to a professionnal studio when I'll really want to track drums for the album.

Odo's stuff is great for especially DRfusion2, endless sounds possibilities. I would reccomend drumular on top of that although I dont know of any sample libraries to compliment drumular. Drumular is best for mixing synthesized drums and samples. Its 39 dollars I believe.

Anyone tried the "Vintage Rock" pack? Have used DFH for a while, but I'm looking for something for more... More vintage, more dirty.
