Nomad Factory Blue Tubes Bundle ,,,anyone using this?

I want to add some warmth to my mixes and single tracks, so I looked around to find some FX which ca do this.
The Blue Tubes Bundle looks very interesting ...but i don't know if it is really good. I downloaded the demo, but I want to know some experiences from people who worked with these FX. Is this bundle worth buying it? ...or are there better ones out there.
I've heard many peolple say that there are no better Fx than the Waves plugins, but for my ears they sound very digital and "to clear / sharp"... that's not what I'm looking for...

theres definitely better plug-ins out there than blue tubes......but, blue tubes is still nice as hell too though...i use it often....
but check this out...do a search for Kjaerhus......in the plug-in database, and go to theyre site.. they have a FREE effects bundle, and the qualities mad nice...

I demoed the BlueTubes stuff but didn't think they were very good at all...

For your purposes, a better idea might be to get Voxengo's AnalogFlux Suite (tape sim, chorus, delay, insert and convolution processor) and Tritone Digital's Hydratone (EQ). Then, add a few freebies like Colortone (analog signal path sim), Simulanalog Suite (guitar fx), Phase90 (phaser) and the Fish Fillets (compressor/gate/de-esser). That should cover most of the bases and sound better (IMO) than the Nomad/Waves stuff. Hope it helps...

Nice looking, but thats all. I don't like the Blue Tubes. If you are looking for a bundle try T-Racks (IK Multimedia). Otherwise get the wonderful plugins from Kjaerhus, TritonDigital, Voxengo, UAD, URS, PSP Audioware... All of this are better

I love them been using them for about 3 or 4 years, and i use the comps ( very precise eg control) everyday, the Limiter is really really nice, and the pultec style EQ's are great workhorses. Oh, and the 3D delay has a really musical sound.

they're good. I could not live without them, PSP's stuff, and L2. everything else is expendable. And I have a SSL Duende -heh.

i was just going to suggest the analogflux bundle and the digital fish phones. hydratone is killer too. btw, don't forget the other voxengo plugs like harmonieq and crunchessor - sounds great, less money and no pace/ilok headaches.

and to quote you again, the L2 is not a very good limiter these days, and Duende is just a low powered dsp solution (with the mediocre SSL plugins) easily outdone by UAD or PoCo (which in turn will get old reaaally fast now)

your falling into the "expensive=good" bottomless(money)pit.

errr. given that a lot of top mastering houses around the world still use the L2 limiter, you just kinda killed the credibility of your own post there.

Regarding Blue Tubes, yeah I can't make my mind up about them, I think they do have their uses.

The compressor actually works pretty well on vocals. You know how some compressors, when compressing vocals hard makes the parts which were originally loud sound too closed in, but with the Blue Tubes FA770 it still keeps a solid presence.

As good as the GCO1?, well, I'd just say 'different' . It's a different flavour, ya like it, go with it, if not, don't.

Also the delay can sound interesting in some mixes, again just a different sound to other delays good for adding a different flavour to the pot.

Not to defend Blue Tubes here - cause I think they're really not that good..

But to say L2 is not a very good limiter these days is simply not true!
I tested and analyzed it against a bunch of 'newer' mastering limiters (Elephant, Ozone, MPL-1, Spectra'Phy, TLs Pocket Limiter, TLs Maximizer) and it still outperforms all the others in regards to achievable loudness, punch, preservation of transients, degree of distortion.
The only limiter that is better in preserving the transients is Timeworks Mastering Compressor (btw it's a clipper).. but it also suffers from more distortion.

Moreover, the SSL Duende has nothing to do with the Waves SSL plugins (assuming you meant them, because the algorithms in it weren't previously available as plugins). And what's that "mediocre" for?? LOL.. have you actually listened to them? I mean Duende and/or Waves SSL.
Having used the Waves SSL Bundle and owning a UAD-1, I can't see how it outdoes the SSL... It is good for what it is and what it's supposed to model. But are there any SSL models on it? Or on the Powercore?
Even without directly comparable plugins on the UAD, the SSL plugs are really of comparable sonic quality!

Please try, listen, compare, evaluate software.. and make up your own mind. I'm sick of reading so many opinions on here that are merely based on hearsay.

from what I have read the SSL Duende is a much more powerful DSP-Solution than TCPoCo or UAD-1. But it features less different plug-ins.

I tried the demo of Nomad Factory's Analog Signature Pack and thought that was ace. I use T-Racks and I think thats pretty good. If i didnt have T-racks and Amplitube already I would probably save up for the Total Effects Bundle.

I have listen to the LM-662 from the signature pack compared to the FA-670 from the UAD powered plugins. Sorry but Nomade produces some good looking things but no audio plugins
