The "save" button on the slicer saves the slicer loop as an acidized loop, which it often already is. I want to save the new loop I've created in the lower area - the multi-track arrangement - as an acidized loop. Is there some way to do that?

not yet, but it's on my list. The plan is to be able to export tracks or arrangements to the loops list. From there you'll be able to export them.
