Logic 5.5.1 startproblem

I found my old Logic 5.5.1.(PC) and installed it. Now it won't start. I ran the plugin activator, but it breaks while running. Any idea how to get it work?

keep running the "plug-in activator" until it stops "breaking". Then it should load fine.

In addition to ChimeraMan's advice, make sure that the MidiOut_MicroSoft_GS_Wavetable_Synth entry in your WIN.INI file is set to =0
This is also known to cause lockups when Logic starts on Windows.
