This is the ONLY free vocal pitch correction plugin I have ever come across, and to my surprise it does not have any reviews with it.. I am currently waiting for my Samplitude SE to come in with my back ordered Computer Music magazine 103, or I would test it myself.. Has anyone tried to use this plugin to correct vocals?
The cheapest program for correcting pitch and timing for sale would be Melodyne's Uno at $159.99. Does anyone know of a cheaper product with graphical correction than $159.99?

GSnap really isn't as artifact free though. Its fine if you put it on subtle settings if the source is already _mostly_ in tune, but for anything more its unsuitable.
If you're a Sonar 5 owner, you get the Roland V-Vocal with it for free, which isn't realtime but its integrated into Sonar and works much, much better than GSnap or Autotune or whatever - not only can it change pitch, but also dynamics and timing, and you can set it to shift formants, and all sorts of neat wizardry that can make anybody into an opera singer ... or Cher.

Ok, well as long as Gsnap works well for "mostly in tune" vocals, then it should be fine.. In that case I would not have to drop the $159.00 for Melodyne Uno, which is a Rewire plug anyway.. I'll just have to fiddle with the settings later..

ive actually noticed with g-tune the tone of the vocals diminish... unless im going completely crazy 
mayeb I wasnt usign the latest version?
also just wondering the keyboard actually doesn't in fact tune the vocals to the note you press, right? i mustve been mistaken.

Did you say no latency?? This is a definate check out..ttoz wrote:gsnap does everything pitch right does and s almost as good as autotune but its free and doesnt f**k up the phasing (latency)

For what it's worth, Magix's Music Studio Deluxe includes a thing called Elastic Audio Easy, which lets you change pitch in large and small ways. Let's you do very detailed fine adjustments with the mouse, looks much like Melodyne. More work, but more control.
I own MSD, and have played with it a little bit, but am not real knowledgeable about it. It's supposedly actually pretty good.
The new version 11, which costs $80, says thay've added harmonizing to it. Version 10 can still be found for $50 if you go through Amazon.
MSD only records in 16-bit, but will load 24-bit .wavs, so you could import tracks into it and micro-massage them.
I like GSnap, but my vocals have major suckage, and it seems to just give up on trying to correct them sometimes. (More accurately, I probably drift so far away from the correct note that it likely can't figure out which one it should be....)
