Hi,
Could someone help me out? I am looking for a VST plug-in to convert audio to MIDI. Specifically a plug-in that will convert the recorded audio from a bass Guitar and send to a softsynth. All within my host. So I can layer with the original track and beef it up. Price is no object
Thanks.

Since you're using a monophonic source most of them will work.
But maybe they have problems with the low notes of bass. Playing one or two octaves higher (and correcting that later) may give better results.

We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

They track pretty well with regular electric guitar for just a mono bassline. Try playing in the higher registers then just pitch the midi down an octave or two.
