I was wondering if its better to have a desktop with

or
a laptop with a

because I remember when i bought a dual g4 on os-9 some plugins didn't work in cubase when "mp cpu" was enabled
meaning I had some plugins working when I had it enabled . and i had to turn it off if i wanted to use some other plugins
thus negating the benefits of havin a slow dual processor(double that processor power..yeah,right!) versus a fast single processor mac.
is it the same situation as way back when cuase I don't want that happening again.
unless os-X takes care of that and any application(cubase/logic/pligins) don't have to be coded in anyway to handle Multi-cpu or single cpus
so bram what do you say/think...
