Multiband Multichannel I/O compressor!

Is there a multi band compressor plugin with multiple input output channels? Although it has multiple I/O lines, the compressor has to effect all the incoming audio (even though it may have a multi compressor setup.. but it can be a single stereo compressor).. The separate outputs should have the compressed audio split to the respective output channel. It would work in a modular host like energy XT or Audiomulch.. Here is a crude illustration..

Also it could have a limiter (but doesn't have to)..

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS.. I really need this. Right now I have to suffer with using an elaborate routing scheme with 2 iterations of the same compressor and inverted single channels on mutes.. And it doesn't always work...

It would probably cost you money. But I have no idea. Im not very compressor savy. But I would like to see others answers!

If you want to want to compress 3 (or x) bands independently, you might just use a good EQ to separate the signal into 3 separate signals, and use a separate compressor for each channel. I'm sure you thought of that too, and I'm curious to why that won't work for you?

Hey thats cool that I can get a custom plug made.. Did not realise that was an option..

I'm really surprised that there is nothing out there like this.. Basically I would like to have the ability to render out single compression on the individual tracks/sounds/frequency ranges.. I'm open to any suggestion on this..

The problem with compressing separatly is that the output audio is not a 'compiled' effect of all the parts.. This is why I need all the channels/audio to come into one compressor.. I will keep searching....searching....searching....

Seems to me that if this is a musical signal in question, that if it can't be dealt with using a good multiband compressor, there's something really wrong with the instrumentation. I mean, to have to fight the frequencies with such a device (and all that CPU going to waste) is telling of the quality of the source and reveals that there is something fundamentally wrong with selection of sounds intended to work together. I'm thinking along the lines of writing and composing also having in mind the process of realization: one chooses instruments/sounds that work together rather than trying to carve them to death so that they'll not make wolf tones and weird combing resonances when combined.

But you may have a special situation here, so I'm not criticizing.

well, as you say ... why not build it in xt by your self?
all you need is 3 times the same compressor and 3 times the same eq and there you are ...
sure, it would be more elegant to have all in one gui, but at least, if there is no such compressor, you have a way to do so ...

i still don't think the audio mix would sum up or 'compile' correctly with this set up anyway... but that's my guess.

Also i'm wondering if there is a hardware equivalent to your request...

This is why I've been asking already a while ago for somebody to code a very high quality, multiple i/o, filter plugin where people can tweak each cross-over and give it an input and output. Then we could use any of our favourite compressor plugins to do the multiple thing (and not just compressors.. think delays, phasers, flangers, reverbs, stereo enhancers, etc.).

If nobody else codes this then I guess it's a project that I'll eventually take upon myself. It would be the perfect addition to modular hosts like EnergyXT.

a couple of these should be able to split the signal in 2 or more separate frequence signals, right?
