you could start with the quick start manual and full manual that came with your copy of cubase when you bought it.musicman wrote:The help file in cubase sx3 is useless, ive tried everything and cant get any plugin to work.
can someone give me some information? or point me in the direction of some?

Before the lynching starts, perhaps you should check that he even knows what inserts and sends are. It's tough to navigate manuals if you don't know the vocabulary.

Very true. Although I always find it irresponsible, if maybe even suspicious, when a person spends around $700 on something he has absolutely no clue of.Rock Hardbuns wrote:It's tough to navigate manuals if you don't know the vocabulary.
Then again, I never quite understood people spending thousands on designer clothes either.

Either in the manual on "how to apply effects" (inserts, sends, etc - counts to the basic mixer functions), or invest in the ASKVideo Cubase SX3 Video Tutorials while they're still available now that Cubase 4 is on the front door.

I don't use Battery - but it will have mulstiple outputs - so you can send the various drum parts to their own mixer channel.
If you have the reverb etc. on group/send channels (whatever the terminology is in SX) you should be able to send a portion of the drums signal you want effectd to the relevant send channel in order to achieve the effect you are looking for.
