I am using Adobe Audition 1.5 to host the VSTs with which I'm mastering some tracks. Audition gives plenty of visual feedback re: frequency, volume and phase analysis.
But what would be really useful would be a VST that could capture and reveal the "average" EQ levels of several tracks - in particular the bass - so that I can get an overview of any significant differences between tracks. It is hard to keep the levels of everything in my head over the course of listening to 10 tracks!
Just to clarify: I'm not wanting to actually "apply" the same EQ curves to each track (I know there are EQs like CurveEQ that will do that), nor do I need a simple frequency analyser. I'm looking for something that will reveal, for example, that track one has on average a lot of activity at 100hz, while track two has the most at 200hz.
Sorry if I'm not using the right terminology - I can't think of another way to put it. I know this is ultimately a matter of listening...I just wondered if there's something that will help speed up the process of comparing tracks.
Thank you
