Is there an effect somewhere (preferably free) that can be used as a realtime pitchshifter?
I often go smurfing on my music (singing a melody 3-4 semitones below pitch and then pitch shifting up) for those hard-to-reach notes - easy to do when I did mostly MIDI stuff but now I'm doing less and less virtual instruments and more guitars - and it would be so much more handy to just plug something into the output channel to shift the pitch down (doesn't have to be high quality, just quick) than knock up a dummy MIDI track to smurf from
Of course I'd have to be careful to monitor my vocals separately!
