Most powerful precise best sounding EQ Available is what?

Post

PSP neon HR is what I went with.

Post

My four favorites are Precision eq for Uad-1 card, Voxengo harmonieq, plpareq, Voxengo curve eq. All are true monsters.

Post

PSP Neon(HR) and/or MasterQ (depending on the flavor)

Post

I'd say probably Algorithmix Red EQ at it's full quality level.

Oh, and forget about running it in realtime. Takes over 400% cpu on my Athlon 3200+ but it does sound 'flawless', that is, you really don't hear ANY artefacts at all. Things just simply disappear or increase in volume.

Second on my list would be the Weiss EQ mkII. Incredible as well.

Third, PLParEQ (there was even a free version with slightly lower fidelity). Dunno about PSP neon HR, it's probably in this league as well.

Cheers!

Most powerful precise best sounding EQ Available is the one you like and use most.

Best sounding is subjective.

don't agree. It's not a matter of taste. The "toy" you use for a particular scope it is the best toy for you, I agree. But in general you have parameters for judging an equalizer, otherwise everything is good enought, even an bad programmed cracking digital equalizer.

best music cd: you could not tell someone if U2 is better than Coldplay. But hey, there are oscars, awards,....

The Sony oxford is excellent, The UAD stuff great but it does depend on what you are doing with them and how you use it.

URS Everything Equalizer Bundle v5.0 :)
You don't need another EQ anymore with this bundle.

Some people hate it, but I think the Waves Renaissance EQ sounds great too! Oh and let's not forget their SSL EQ!
Music... life would be boring without it.

although i have never used it, there is always Liquid Mix then u can choose the massive passive impulse... or any of the other load of EQs with no CPU load.

Why should that take so much power? Seems OOT to me, any tech guys explain possible reasons?
