Midi problem with Cakewalk's Music Creator 3 (Gsnap)

Cakewalk's Music creator 3 is basically the same as Sonar 4 except it is stripped down a bit.. All the Midi functionality should be the same though. I am trying to use GVST's Gsnap on an audio track, and point a midi track output at the Gsnap VST insert effect. Gsnap will accept Midi input in order to control what notes to snap the corrected pitch to. My DAW will not let me point the output of the midi track to Gsnap I guess because it is a VST and not a VSTi. It will let me point midi outputs to DXi's and VSTi's as you would expect. Does anyone know if there is a way to point a midi output in MC3 or Sonar 4 to a VST effect that accepts midi input? Perhaps I am just doing it wrong.

Thanks,

Steve

I figured it out.. You have to use the Cakewalk VST adapter, and tell it to register Gsnap as a synth instead of a tempo based effect.. It does not change the functionality of the plug, just allows it to recieve the midi notes..
